Twin Rivers YMCA
Girls on the Run is primarily a school-based, after-school program designed to enhance girls’ social, psychological, and physical competencies to successfully navigate life experiences. The program uses running and other physical activities as a platform for promoting holistic health outcomes in third- through fifth grade girls. Boys get a chance to build their endurance, strength and most importantly, character through a new running program called STRIDE (Success, Teamwork, Respect, Inspiration, Determination, and Excellence of Character) that’s just for them. The program for boys in grades 3-5. Coaches will volunteer twice a week starting the second of February and ending in April. Coaches will finish the program with a 5K race April 26th with their team at the Twin Rivers YMCA

Twin Rivers YMCA
The TWIN RIVERS YMCA teaches over 2,400 children water safety education and swim instruction each year. Volunteers help make this life-saving program possible. You can help! Volunteers will assist 4th grade students learn how to properly wear life jackets, practice saving a drowning victim, and learn to float and keep their heads above water. Water Safety takes place in the Outdoor Pool, Tuesdays through Fridays in the morning. To ensure we meet the highest standard in safety, 6-10 volunteers per day are needed for the Water Safety Program. On land and in water opportunities are available. The program will start March 7th.
